“The Last Reel”, is a documentary which depicts how Sicily, the last of the Italian regions to replace the film strip, dealt with the pivotal transition from film to digital.
The process is being lead through the teachings of cinema managers, owners, veteran projectionists, and technicians, all with expertise in film and the process of dismantling projectors and eliminating the now, outdated, film strip.
